Broadwater Parish Church

Queen Street Fellowship is a lively, informal, family-based church which meets in Queen Street Church Centre. The church started meeting in an old mission hall in 1989 and grew so much that in 1994 the old hall was demolished to make way for a splendid new building. Our service is at 10am each Sunday morning. There are no pews, no robes, no books - except Bibles! - and our aim is to make it easy for people who are not used to churchgoing to join in lively worship, to hear relevant Bible teaching, and to experience the presence and power of God.

There are also a range of midweek activities both in the church and shared with the other churches of Broadwater Parish, and the building is used by a number of community groups.

Queen Street is a church where children are allowed to be children, even if they are a bit noisy. They stay in church for the first half of the service, which normally includes a children's talk and children's song, and then head off to their own activities. At Harvest and Mothers' Day the Pathfinders plan and lead the service, and recently a junior band has started leading our worship at those services. There is also a crèche room for those who want to see and hear without being heard.

At the same time the church includes people from all ages and stages of life, young and old, married and single. We also welcome those with learning disabilities, and the building has wheelchair access, a disabled toilet and a loop system.
