Queen Street Church
Queen Street, Worthing
Queen Street Church is a lively, informal, family-friendly church that meets every Sunday morning at 10 am. The church met in an old mission hall in 1989 and grew rapidly. In 1994 the old hall was demolished and a new church building was built for the congregation and is also used to serve the local community.
There are no pews, no robes, no books - except Bibles! Our aim is to make it easy for people who are not used to a traditional church to join in the worship, to hear relevant Bible teaching, and to experience the presence and power of God. There is prayer ministry after the service for healing and God's guidance for anyone who desires it.
There are also a range of midweek activities both in the church and shared with the other churches of Broadwater Parish, and the building is used by a number of community groups during the week.
Queen Street is a church where children are allowed to be children. They stay in church for the first half of the service, which normally includes a children's talk and a children's song, and then head off to their own activities. There is a crèche room for those who want to use it at any time during the service.
The church welcomes people from all ages and stages of life, young and old, married and single. We also welcome those with learning disabilities, and the building has wheelchair access, a disabled toilet and a hearing loop system.
