Broadwater Parish Church

St. Stephen's church is a small but lively, informal, friendly and welcoming fellowship. We meet for worship each Sunday at 10am. Our worship, which is lead by a small music group, is a blend of modern and more traditional styles, which is relevant and accessible for everyone, even if you have not been to church recently. The purpose of our worship is to help us to grow in faith & equip us through relevant biblical teaching to serve the Living God in the power of the Holy Spirit. Having started life in 1929 meeting in one of the new council houses, and for a time, even meeting in two potting sheds, we continue to reach out to the local community with its many needs.

A minibus is available if you would like to be picked up for the service. During the services there are separate activities for young people and during the week there is a range of midweek activities, some shared with the other churches in the team. We now have a thriving Brownie group. After the service refreshments are always served and people are available to pray with you for any need. Throughout the year we run a varied programme of social activities.

After an extensive programme of modernisation our buildings are now in excellent condition, with level access throughout as well as disabled toilet facilities. A loop system for the hard of hearing is also fitted. St. Stephen's is situated in an area of Worthing where there are few facilities, so our church halls are extensively used by a range of community groups.

Pattern of worship.
1st Sunday: Holy Communion
2nd & 4th Sunday: Morning Worship
3rd Sunday: All Age Parade Service

Each week we meet for prayer in the church lounge before the service at 9.30
