Join us on Sunday May 12th for Church on the Green on Broadwater Green for a parish wide outdoor service at 11am followed by a picnic. Check back on this page for details of the service nearer the time including lyrics to songs.
FAQ’s
Do I need to bring anything?
Pack yourself a lovely British picnic and don’t forget chairs, a blanket and possibly a raincoat or umbrella to prepare for the Great British Weather!
What time can I arrive from?
You can arrive from 10am onwards to reserve your picnic slot on the green
What time does it finish?
The service will finish around midday and will be followed by a picnic and some games and activities so we expect to finish by 2pm at the latest.
Where can I park?
You can park on the roads surrounding the Green or there is a public car park opposite Broadwater School. Or you could park in your usual place and pick up a coffee on your way to the Green!
Is there food and drink available?
We’re advising everyone to bring their own food and drink but there may be some food and drink available on the day or you can always pop to the local shops in Broadwater.
Why are we doing this?
We aim to hold an outdoor service at least once a year and this is a great way to Love Out and be a blessing to the local community and allow others to see what a service is like without having to come into the building.
Should I invite people?
Yes! There will be flyers available and this is a great opportunity to invite friends and neighbours to the service and the picnic afterwards.
Are we allowed to meet on the Green?
The event has been co-ordinated with the Council and the site has been hired for our use on that day.
