Vision

"WORKING TOGETHER IN THE NAME OF JESUS FOR THE REVITALISATION OF THE CHURCH IN WORTHING AND THE TRANSFORMATION OF LIVES."

Love In

1 Peter 4:8-10: "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others"

Vision starts here with each of us across the parish. As we continue going forward this is our priority for this season. Taking time to be united as one church, within our home groups and teams. Spending time together. Studying God’s word, worshiping, praying and loving each other.  Jesus Says: "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." [John 15:12]

Love Out

Luke 10:27: Jesus says "Love your neighbour as yourself."

To love our local community means to join in with Jesus' commitment to proclaim good news to the poor, proclaim freedom to the prisoners, recovery of sight for the blind, and to set the oppressed free [Luke 4:18].  We do that as we help the needy, seek justice in our community, pray for those around us, seek to serve local people, and tell others the good news of Jesus. Alpha, serving the schools and businesses, mission days, CAP, amongst other things.

Love Up

Luke 10:27: And Jesus answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind."

To be fully able to reach in and reach out we will need to focus on God and Jesus. Through bible study, teaching, prayer, loving God and deepening in worship and prayer.

For around a thousand years Christians have met together in this parish, coming together before God to worship him and get organised to go out and serve and impact the town around them.  We are the latest generation to be part of that ongoing adventure.

Jesus says: ‘I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full’ (John 10:10).  We believe in God’s power to change lives and he does that by his love.  We want to make Jesus known so that all people can experience the transforming love of God.
